SJ-BOD-80S intelligent BOD meter is based on the national standard "HJ505-2009" 5-day biochemical culture method, simulating the biodegradation process of organic matter in nature. In the sealed culture bottle, the oxygen in the air above the culture continuously replenishes the dissolved oxygen consumed by the decomposition of organic matter in the sample, removes the carbon dioxide produced during the degradation of organic matter, and changes the air pressure in the culture bottle. By monitoring the change of air pressure in the culture bottle, the biochemical sample BOD value of the sample is calculated.
What is the non-contributory pressure difference method?
It uses the differential pressure method to determine the dissolved oxygen content in the water sample, and calculates the BOD value by measuring the changes in the dissolved oxygen concentration of the water sample at different times. Compared with the traditional BOD determination method, the mercury-free differential pressure BOD meter does not need to use reagents containing mercury, which is both environmentally friendly and safe.
